Sustainability & Net Zero

Sustainability is a highly important aspect that we at the Plus Group champion. Working together with our supply chain partners and stakeholders, we offer a unique service delivery built around our commitment to sustainability and achieving net zero carbon neutrality.

Since joining the UK Business Climate Hub, we have implemented a five-year plan to reach net zero, offsetting carbon where we cannot remove it completely. We monitor and manage our progress against this plan to ensure we are on target to be net zero by 2026.

Utilising this ‘race to the bottom’ net zero initiative, we have introduced a cycle-to-work scheme, switched to PIR responsive LED lighting and solar electric in our offices, improved insulation and installed air source heat pumps, and worked with our waste carrier to ensure a waste recycle rate of 100%, thus drastically reducing landfill.

We are also minimising the carbon footprint of our transport fleet by reducing the amount of petrol and diesel vehicles and replacing them with either hybrid or full-electric vehicles.

This is only the beginning, and success in achieving carbon neutrality will need all of us to work together, helping provide the necessary foundation to tackle the climate emergency.
