SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainability

Not only is our Fire Doorset Manufacturing partner highly accredited for Fire and Security, West Port Timber are also accredited by both the FSC and PEFC.

FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organisation established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests. The FSC label provides a credible link between responsible production and consumption of forest products, enabling consumers and businesses to make purchasing decisions that benefit people and the environment.

PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) is an international non-profit, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management. PEFC is the world’s largest forest certification system and seeks to transform the way forests are managed globally – and locally – to ensure that all of us can enjoy the environmental, social and economic benefits that forests offer.

Sustainability is a hugely real and highly important aspect that us here at Fire Doors Plus take beyond seriously. Reducing our own carbon footprint as much as we can with the use of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles, reducing the amount of waste we produce and recycling 100% of our removed material. We are always looking for further improvements to help reduce our impact on the environment and climate change.

West Port and Fire Doors Plus have the same sustainability ethos and synergy, together we provide our clients a full suite of timber fire doorset solutions that are entirely traceable from conception through to the installation and ongoing maintenance. Working together to deliver the most sustainable future we possibly can.
